Founded in August 2024, Across Phoenix is a New Orleans art rock and experimental pop duo featuring Emma Lee Lincoln on guitar and vocals and Evan Michell on drums.

       Eclectic, atmospheric, and deliberately difficult to categorize, the duo builds luminous melodies and unexpected grooves beneath layers of storm-cloud shoegaze. Their sound carries traces of Phantogram, Sweet Trip, Portishead, Wolf Alice, PJ Harvey, and Warpaint, but ultimately exists in a world entirely its own—textured, kinetic, and slightly surreal.

      Since their debut in 2025, Across Phoenix has made a rapid impact on the New Orleans music scene and beyond, performing at notable venues & festivals such as Saturn Bar, Gasa Gasa, Funk Fest, French Quarter Festival, Algiers Bonfire Fest, and Pom Pom Palooza Fest. Their debut EP, written and produced by Lincoln with recording and co-production from Michell, was spotlighted in Antigravity Magazine’s October 2025 issue. Their second release, “Dreaming Opaline,” has received national and international radio play, magazine recognition, and strong critical praise.

     Across Phoenix creates a live experience that feels both intimate and expansive; delicate details, restless rhythms, and opalescent textures collide to make something immersive, unexpected, and entirely their own.
